From start to finish Mitch provided a first class service and we have no hesitation in recommending him and his fabulous 50 year old bus.

We investigated several options for transport to a river cruise to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and we are so glad we booked with Mitch. We had 50 guests with age groups ranging from 6 months to 82 years old and everyone said how much they enjoyed it and how it added a special memory to the occasion.

We had some last minute challenges with flooding which resulted in a change of itinerary but Mitch was very flexible in taking us to Windsor instead of Maidenhead and even took us through the centre so guests had the added bonus of viewing Windsor castle . We were able to decorate the bus and play our own music and could have enjoyed refreshments on board had we not already arranged for that on board our riverboat.

It will be a taking point for many years to come, and we were delighted with all aspects of the experience. Thank you!

On behalf of Lucia and I thank you so much for the hire of the Routemaster bus for our wedding on 21/07/12. Ever since I made enquiries into this, Mitch was so helpful keeping me fully updated with everything.

Our first choice of reception venue unfortunately went into administration about 6 months before our wedding but Mitch changed everything around with no fuss to suit our subsequent new venue. Our guests absolutely loved the idea of a traditional English bus, especially as many of them were Slovakian where Lucia is from.

The day was perfect for us, including the fantastic weather. Mitch was more than happy to drive the bus onto the grounds of the Hilton Hotel St Anne’s Manor for pictures which came out great and I have attached some of them. It really was a lovely touch for us to receive a bouquet of flowers from Mitch after our wedding. I would have no problem recommending Red Routemaster and Mitch to anyone else.

Thanks again for providing such unique and historical transport for our wedding in September 2012. The bus itself was amazing and we had so many guests comment on how much fun the journey was. The children and grandparents especially would not stop talking about it all day! You and your driver provided an excellent service all day, my Dad has always wondered how to drive a routemaster, and now he believes he does!

The additional ribbons and flowers inside and out was a superb touch, as was the personalised blind which will be framed and displayed with pride above our kitchen door.

On the way to the church I happily chatted to my mum and bridesmaids and at one point turned to see the flower girls all sitting very seriously clutching their bouquets at the back of the bus, it brought tears to my eyes that we could all share every part of the big day.

The bus was a huge success. As I’m sure you understand, the day was always going to be challenging, but the bus somehow broke down barriers and raised a smile. The fact that the family and close friends could all be together (and not worry about parking) made such a difference – we were jolly on a very sad day, and our aim to making the funeral a celebration of my fathers’ life was hugely helped by the bus and the way Mitch and Darren perfectly judged the requirements. The whole operation was absolutely faultless.

I do also know that there was a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure the bus got to us – the snow was so challenging and Mitch’s regular contact and sensible approach really put my mind at rest – I knew you had a tractor on hand to help if necessary, and I now also know that the positioning of the Routemaster engine directly over the wheels gives it excellent handling in the snow!

We have had lovely feedback from all those on board and I will never forget weaving gently down the avenue of the crematorium avoiding the trees that you had so carefully got the information for in advance. This was a journey that should have been miserable, but wasn’t, and that is down to the lovely bus and the friendly team in charge on the day.
